BMD employees honoured at Civil Contractors Federation Victorian Excellence in Training Awards
Last Friday night, two of BMD’s employees were recognised at the Victorian Civil Contractors Federation Excellence in Training Awards. The annual awards are an opportunity to recognise the efforts and achievements of people in the civil construction industry across Victoria. BMD Constructions Business Systems Manager, Grant took home the award for Individual Achievement in Occupational Health and Safety. This award recognises Grant’s commitment to workplace health and safety, and his dedication to foster positive safety communication across all of BMD’s Victorian project sites. The BMD Group’s Business Systems Manager Pat, had the following to say about Grant’s influence: “Changing people’s mindsets is not always an easy thing to do and through his professionalism, tenacity and passion for fostering a safe work environment, he has been able to achieve measurable improvements within Victoria’s HSEQ space.” BMD Urban Leading Hand Sharon was awarded the Women in Civil Construction Excellence Award, for her positive influence on BMD’s Victorian projects and teams. BMD Urban Victoria Area Manager Tim praised Sharon’s work ethic: “Her growth and enthusiasm to learn over the last two years has been great to see. What she’s able to offer our business in terms of leading and motivating her teams is invaluable. It is great to see more women coming through our industry, and Sharon is certainly a great role model.” BMD is extremely proud of the contributions our people make to our business, and the industry as a whole, and we believe in the importance of recognising them for their hard work and dedication.
