The high calibre of BMD’s employees was clear at the Civil Contractors Federation NSW President’s Gala Ball held last Friday evening with BMD taking out four of the 15 awards. BMD Urban Project Manager Anthony was named Project Manager of the Year (contracts under $2 million). This award recognised his leadership and dedication to delivering complex urban infrastructure and subdivisions for both private and government clients, and for his commitment to community engagement on a complex project with an extremely tight timeframe. BMD Urban Project Engineer Bao was honoured with the Engineer of the Year Award (contracts under $2 million). The award recognised her ability in making executive decisions at critical stages of construction on a road reconstruction project delivering the project ahead of program and exceeding the client’s expectations. BMD Urban Leading Hand Ben was recognised for his outstanding safety leadership, and his enthusiasm and determination with the Safety Champion Individual Award. Finally, BMD Constructions Site Administrator Jessica was recognised for her team work, collaboration and outstanding communication skills on the recently completed Bomen Enabling Roads project in Wagga Wagga with the Admin Support in Civil Construction Award. With a high calibre of entrants across all categories, congratulations must also be extended to BMD’s shortlisted nominees who were recognised as finalists at the event including Joshua for Engineer – Contracts over $2 million, Jon for Safety Champion Category 1: Safety Officer Award and Mark for Site Supervisor – Contracts over $2 million.
