BMD Northcliffe Crowned National Champions

BMD Northcliffe celebrated their 10th consecutive Australian Champion Club Trophy at Scarborough Beach, Western Australia. BMD Northcliffe finished in front with 474 points, claiming 26 gold, 27 silver and 22 bronze medals. Manly Surf Club came second with 181 and Mooloolaba Surf Club followed close behind with 159 points. Shannon Eckstein finished with his sixth Australian Open Ironman title with younger brother Caine taking home silver. Eckstein brothers were joined at the finish line with mum Donna and Shannon’s wife Belinda and daughter Ellie. BMD Northcliffe has been the most dominant Surf Life Saving Club in Australia, boasting an expanding membership base, world and national championships, an enthusiastic Nipper program, significant involvement in community activities and contributing every day of the week to the preservation of human life on the beaches of the Gold Coast.
