BMD support Clontarf Cricket Carnival in Queensland
BMD are proud to support the development, education and employment of young Indigenous Australians through our partnership with the Clontarf Foundation. The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal men and by doing so equips them to participate meaningfully in society. Last Friday, we were honoured to be part of the Clontarf Queensland Cricket Carnival held at the Kianawah cricket fields in Wynnum which presented an important opportunity for BMD to meet and support the students. The carnival was the conclusion of a cricket program that forms part of Clontarf’s curriculum, and was participated in by seven Queensland Academies including Kingaroy, Toowoomba, Warwick, Dalby, Goondiwindi, Harristown and Barambah. BMD recognises the important role we play in making a meaningful difference to the lives of Indigenous Australians, and being involved in events such as this provide an excellent opportunity to meet and engage with the boys, and support their ongoing development. Thank you to Clontarf for providing us with an opportunity to be involved in the event.
