Work starts on Bingegang Pipeline relocation

BMD Industrial has started work on the Bingegang Pipeline Relocation, following their appointment by Middlemount Coal in May. The Middlemount Coal Mine is an open cut coal mine, located 270km north-west of Rockhampton. As part of ongoing operations, the existing Bingegang Pipeline will be relocated. Specialists in structural, mechanical, piping and electrical works, BMD Industrial, has been engaged to deliver a 14km pipeline to replace the existing pipeline, break tank, pump station, outlets, crossings, drainage and associated access infrastructures. BMD Industrial General Manager, Paul Elliot said, “I am pleased to see BMD Industrial return to Central Queensland to deliver the Bingegang Pipeline Relocation. This project provides us with an opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of the company, especially in the project management of piping in remote areas.” BMD Industrial continues to build on their success in the region having completed BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance’s (BMA) $55 million Caval Ridge utilities works, meeting BMA and Bechtel’s commissioning timeline in early 2014.
