BMD acquires corporate travel agency Complete Business Travel (CBT)
BMD demonstrates a high level of commitment to employees who support the company’s philosophy that ‘our business is our people’. This dedication has long generated a loyalty that is evidenced through BMD’s high calibre of staff and number of long serving employees, and the genuine relationships that have been built with clients, partners and the communities within which BMD operate. It is this same commitment to people that is the driving force behind Complete Business Travel (CBT), a privately owned business travel management company founded in Brisbane’s Bayside in 2005. CBT have remained passionate about delivering businesses and their employees with superior travel experiences for over 15 years. Manager of CBT, Marcelo Grondona Paz, shares BMD’s value for putting their people first. “People are at the core of our business. It’s our priority to ensure our people love coming to work and feel supported. When we look after our people, they look after our clients.” As hundreds of travel agents were forced to close amid the coronavirus pandemic, BMD were able to purchase CBT, allowing them to continue their work in providing reliable travel support in a time when travel has never been more uncertain. BMD has projects all over Australia and has relied on CBT to provide valuable travel solutions and fast, friendly and efficient service to their people for over 15 years. Group Director – Chief Executive Officer of BMD Group, Scott Power remarked “COVID has had devastating impacts on the travel industry. CBT has looked after us for over 15 years and we’re proud to have been able to get behind them and give our support in a time when they needed it the most.” As states across the country start to release their roadmaps out of lockdowns, CBT are well positioned to continue providing outstanding service and tailored travel management solutions for even the most complex and varied itineraries.
